Hi, I’m Elke.

In 2023 I moved from Belgium to Portugal, chasing a deep longing for space, simplicity, and stillness.

Where Belgium offered more safety – but also more restrictions – I found that space here to truly breathe. The nature, the wind, the wild cliffs… I was home.

After a rocky start and lots of searching, I ended up in the last place I expected: off-grid, in a Tiny House, surrounded by silence and nature. Turns out, it was exactly where I needed to be.

Life is always full of ups and downs, with a lot of figuring things out along the way. But something shifted when I allowed myself to live differently. Slower. Smaller. Closer to nature, and to myself.

With this blog, born from my passion for writing and photography, I want to share real life in Portugal with you: the ups and the downs 🙂 With local discoveries and images from the wild corners of the Algarve.
